Mirror Book is an artist’s book made of mirrored steel, combining photography and acrylic graphics into a spatial object. The reflective surfaces of the pages enhance the depth of the image, creating a multilayered visual field that shifts depending on the angle of view, lighting, and the turning of the pages.
The alternation of forms, materials, and reflective surfaces establishes a non-verbal narrative based on rhythm, pauses, and visual transitions. The structure of the book sets a sequence of spatial states that emerge through page turning and changes in viewpoint.
Mirror Book was created during an artistic residency in Portugal.

The photographic material used in Mirror Book was created by artist Oleksandra Skliarenko during the same art residency in Portugal.
The images became part of the book as a shared visual field — a non-verbal poetic response to the first encounter with place, atmosphere, and everyday observations.
The project was later presented at the exhibition First Impressions in Guimarães.

Process:The book is constructed as a metal object with individually assembled pages.Mirror-polished steel surfaces interact with photographic material and graphic elements applied in black acrylic. The pages are bound through a welded metal structure, allowing the book to function both as a readable sequence and as a spatial object.
